A tragic incident has come to light in Nagarkurnool district . Family disputes claimed the lives of three children. The father brutally murdered the children and eventually took his own life. This atrocity has caused a stir locally. According to police details, Gutta Venkateswarlu committed suicide. He is from Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. He married his niece Deepika twelve years ago. The couple has three children. Elder daughter Mokshita, second daughter Varshini, and younger son Sivadharma. On the 30th of last month, after a fight with his wife, he took the children and left the house. When he did not return, his wife filed a complaint with the police.
Suspicions based on CCTV
The police have started an investigation based on CCTV footage. Venkateswarlu (Gutta Venkateswarlu) went towards Nagarkurnool via Srisailam. Initially, he traveled with three children. However, the number of children was decreasing at each stage. When he reached Charakonda mandal, he had only his eldest daughter. Later, he reached Kalvakurthi town alone. This made the police very suspicious. The police continued the search. In this process, Venkateswarlu’s body was found. He committed suicide in Peddapur, Veldanda mandal, Nagarkurnool district. It was confirmed that he took his life by consuming pesticide. With this, the search for the children was intensified.
The bodies of the children were burned.
On Thursday morning, the police witnessed a horrific scene. The bodies of two children were found in Uppunantala mandal. The bodies of Varshini and Shivadharma were completely burnt. Later, Mokshita’s body was also found in Kalvakurthi mandal. It was also burnt. Everyone who saw this scene burst into tears.
Preliminary investigation details
Police believe that Venkateshwarlu killed each child separately. It is suspected that he first gave them insecticide and then doused them with petrol and burned them. This suspicion was strengthened after the bodies were found in three places. The bodies were taken to the hospital for postmortem. The police are fully investigating the incident. It is believed that a family dispute was the cause of this tragedy. However, the exact reason is yet to come to light. The incident has left the locals in deep shock. Silence has suddenly descended on the village.
