Latest News: Shubman Gill: Team India leaves for Australia for series

The journey towards the Indian team’s much-awaited tour of Australia has begun for Indian cricket fans. The first team, led by captain Shubman Gill and comprising senior star players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, left for Australia this morning .

This is a tour of particular interest to the cricketing world as it marks the return of Kohli and Rohit to international cricket after a long break. Notably, despite them being in the team, the presence of young Shubman Gill as the captain makes the series even more special.

The second group, comprising the remaining members of the team and support staff, will leave for Australia at 9 pm tonight . Upon arrival, the Indian players will take some time to acclimatize to the climate there. They will then participate in a practice session and prepare for the limited-overs series.

Then on the 23rd at Adelaide Oval

As part of this tour, a series of three ODIs and five T20 matches will be played between India and Australia. The tour will begin with the first ODI at Perth Stadium on the 19th of this month . After that, the remaining two ODIs will be played at Adelaide Oval on the 23rd and Sydney Cricket Ground on the 25th.

The T20 series will then begin on the 29th. This tour will be a test for Team India, who are looking to continue their excellent form on foreign soil . The last time India toured Australia was in 2020-21, they lost the ODI series by 1-2 and won the T20 series by the same margin.
