Breaking News – Fee Reimbursement: SFI calls for college bandh in Telangana today

Student unions in Telangana are expressing their anger against the government. Students are facing severe difficulties as the state government has been pending the release of scholarship and fee reimbursement funds for months. In this context, the Students Federation of India (SFI) has called for a bandh of colleges across the state today. They have asked the management of B.Tech, pharmacy, medical, degree and PG colleges to cooperate with the bandh. SFI leaders have warned that the government should release funds immediately and not play with the future of students.

According to SFI leaders, colleges are forcibly collecting fees from students due to the government’s delay in releasing fee reimbursement funds. They said that many students belong to poor families and are forced to drop out of school due to inability to pay fees. They alleged that colleges are not allowing students to sit for exams and not issuing certificates to those who do not pay fees. The SFI said that the government is adopting a negligent attitude towards the problems of students, which is a serious blow to the education sector.

Government sources, however, say that the process of releasing funds is ongoing. However, student unions do not believe these promises. They point out that similar promises have been made in the past and have not been implemented. SFI has announced that it will expand the movement across the state if the students’ just demands are not addressed. Classes have been suspended in many educational institutions due to this bandh. Student unions are demanding that the government take immediate action in the wake of the agitation among students, parents and college management.
