
News Telugu: A sensational matter has come to light in the country’s politics. According to the latest report by the Association for Democratic Reforms ( ADR) , 12 out of 30 Chief Ministers across the country have declared in their affidavits that they have criminal cases against them.

CM Revanth Reddy tops the list of cases
This list includes Telangana Chief Minister A.Revanth Reddy is at the topThe number of cases registered against him is 89. This is significantly higher compared to other state Chief Ministers.
Cases against other state chief ministers
After Revanth, Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin has 47 cases and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has 19 cases , the report said. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has 13 cases and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has 5 cases. Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh have 4 cases each. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has 2 cases and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has only one case, the report explained.
Chief Ministers who also face serious allegations
It is not just the number of cases but also their seriousness that is a matter of concern. The ADR has made it clear that at least 10 chief ministers on this list are facing serious allegations of attempted murder, kidnapping and corruption.

This report has gained political significance because a bill that the central government is currently considering proposes that the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers and Ministers who have been arrested and imprisoned for 30 days in a case punishable by more than five years must step down from office. In this context, the details of criminal cases against 12 Chief Ministers are being discussed.
