The leader who gave life to the Jharkhand state formation movement, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand andJMM party founder Shibu Soren(Shibu Soren) (81) has passed away. The country recognizes him as a revolutionary leader who fought for tribal rights.

Shibu Soren, who had been suffering from kidney-related problems for the past few months, was admitted to Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital in late June after his health deteriorated. He breathed his last at 8:56 am on August 4 while receiving treatment. This was officially announced by his son and current Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren .
Three-time Chief Minister
Shibu Soren served as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand state three times. Despite political ups and downs, he constantly fought for the rights of his tribals. Under his leadership, Jharkhand state achieved special status. He was remembered not as a political leader but as a movement leader and a guide who mobilized the workers. Shibu Soren started his political career as an activist. He did not stop fighting until Jharkhand became a separate state. He founded the JMM party and dedicated his life to the upliftment of the tribals .
