The Private Degree Colleges Management Association in Andhra Pradesh has called for a bandh to resolve the problems in the education sector. The bandh will be held across the state on the 21st of this month. The association announced that this decision was taken with the demand to resolve the problems in degree education. It expressed dissatisfaction over the government’s continued uncooperative attitude and the lack of response from the authorities.
Allegations that discussions with the minister were fruitless
They said that in February this year, representatives of the association met Minister Lokesh to discuss the problems faced in degree education. The association lamented that the decisions taken in that meeting have not been implemented yet. They said that it is sad that the authorities have not responded even after five months. They revealed that this is causing serious problems in the management of colleges.
Concerns over the admissions process not yet beginning
The association expressed deep concern over the fact that the admission process in private degree colleges has not started even after two months since the Inter results were announced. They said that this is dangerous for the future of the students and demanded that the government take immediate action and start the admission process. They warned that further action would have to be announced if the problems were not resolved.
