Hyderabad: BJP state president N. Ramchandar Rao said that the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working sincerely for the welfare of BCs in the country. He said that the Modi government has 27 BC ministers in the cabinet. It has given a big seat to BCs… It was Modi who brought the BC Commission, but it is cruel for Rahul Gandhi to criticize BCs by calling them converted BCs to insult them. BC lists are not unique to the state, the lists change depending on the state. For example, Lambadas are SGs in our state.. but BCs in Maharashtra… Although KCR formed this commission when I was an MLC, he did not allocate the necessary funds for it. He said that the commission was only given status, but it was not provided the necessary financial support for its functioning. As for the caste census undertaken by the Congress government , it was not a constitutional process, the census was just a collection of statistics. Because, this is a process conducted by the government itself, not through constitutional institutions. There are many doubts about the state government’s failure to release the details related to the caste census. Many teachers say that the caste census has not been conducted at the mandal level. But the state government does not seem to have any intention of releasing those details. If the caste census is to be conducted officially, it should be done through constitutional institutions and with proper data. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is not against the caste census. He said that it is clear that the majority of beneficiaries of various schemes like Vishwakarma Yojana, Mudra loans, and Startup India are BCs. He said that this fact proves that the Modi government has paid special attention to the development of BCs. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will move forward with full commitment towards the welfare of OBCs .
