The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission ( UPPSC ) will soon release the admit cards for the PCS Preliminary Exam 2025. Candidates who have registered for this exam will be able to download their admit cards by visiting the official website of the commission.

Exam Date & Shift Details
The UPPSC PCS preliminary exam will be held on October 12, 2025, at various exam centers across Uttar Pradesh. The exam will be held in two shifts—
The exam duration of each shift will be 2 hours.
Exam Pattern and Marks Distribution
- Paper-1 (General Studies):
- It will be of 200 marks.
- 150 multiple choice questions will be asked in this.
- Paper-2 (CSAT):
- It will be of 200 marks.
- 100 multiple choice questions will be asked in this.
The marks of Paper-1 will be included in the merit list, while Paper-2 will be of qualifying nature , in which it is mandatory to score minimum 33% marks.
The competition will be tough
Only 200 positions will be filled from approximately 600,000 candidates . Consequently, the exam will be highly competitive. The Commission states that digital surveillance and CCTV systems have been installed at all examination centers to ensure transparency and fairness.
Admit Card Download Process
Candidates can download the admit card by visiting the official website of the commission and following these steps-
- Visit the official website of UPPSC.
- Click on “Download Admit Card” link.
- Enter the registration number and date of birth.
- The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Download it and take a printout.
