Balapur-The famous Balapur Ganesha in Hyderabad has received a record number of donations from devotees this year. According to the hundi count, the totalRs. 23.13 lakhs collectedNearly 12 lakh devotees visited Lord Ganesha during Navratri.
The counting of the hundis was done on Monday after the Ganesh Nimarjanam program ended. The hundis were opened and counted under the supervision of Balapur Ganesh Utsav Samiti President Kallem Niranjan Reddy and committee members. It was revealed that Rs. 6,25,940 was received online in this counting.

Cash received in the form of donations
In the cash count, Rs.500 notes were 1,642, Rs.200 notes were 594, Rs.100 notes were 3,352, Rs.50 notes were 2,306, Rs.20 notes were 4734, Rs.10 notes were 300, along with Rs.1, Rs.2 and Rs.5 coins. A total of Rs.23,13,760 worth of donations were collected. The committee revealed that this amount will be deposited in the bank account of Balapur Ganesh Utsav Samiti . The festival committee will discuss and decide for which development works and social service programs this money will be used .
