Heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning are likely to occur in Adilabad , Komarambhim , Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Hyderabad, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.

The Meteorological Department has said that moderate rains are likely to occur in many districts of the state for two days, with gusty winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Record rainfall was recorded across the state from Wednesday to Thursday morning. The average rainfall in just 24 hours was 5.08 centimeters, with 2.5 centimeters of rain falling on Thursday night alone.

Normally, the state should receive an average of 55.19 centimeters of rain by August 28. However, 69.17 centimeters of rain has been recorded so far. This means that almost 25 percent more rainfall has been recorded than the normal level.
