Chityala (Nalgonda): 32 female students of Kasturba Gandhi Ashram School in Korkisala, Mogullapalli mandal fell seriously ill due to food poisoning . 18 female students were shifted to the primary hospital in Mogullapalli mandal center, while the remaining 14 female students were shifted to the Civil Hospital in Chityala mandal center and are receiving treatment. On Monday morning, the students were given khichdi and tomato chutney as breakfast.Because of the worms that came with breakfastThe students became ill with vomiting and diarrhea. The school teachers, who noticed the situation, rushed the students to the hospital.
Students fall ill after eating worms in breakfast
The students who fell ill were shifted to the Civil Hospital in Mogullapalli Primary Health Center and Chityala Mandal Center for treatment. 32 students informed their parents about their illness. The parents rushed to the hospitals in a panic. MLA Gandra Satyanarayana Rao reached the Civil Hospital to inquire about the matter and visited the students. Speaking on the occasion, he said that it was learnt that the students who had breakfast had a worm in their khichdi and fell slightly ill. He said that the fault of the cooks was realized based on the information provided by the students. He said that an investigation will be conducted into the incident and action will be taken against those responsible. He assured that the students are currently in good condition and that such incidents will not be repeated .

They suffered from food poisoning due to worms in the khichdi served as breakfast, causing vomiting and diarrhea.
