Popular Telugu comedian Fish Venkat has passed away. He was undergoing treatment in the hospital for kidney disease for the past month and breathed his last on Friday after treatment failed. Fish Venkat won the hearts of the audience with his acting in many films. His death has left a deep sorrow in the film industry circles.
50 lakhs required for kidney transplant – Government assures
As Venkat’s health deteriorated, doctors said that both kidneys were not working properly. If an immediate transplant was required, it would cost around Rs. 50 lakhs, they said. Minister Vakiti Srihari visited Venkat and assured him that the government would bear the cost of the treatment. Many film personalities and fans also helped financially.
Death due to lack of kidney donor – tragedy in the family
Despite all efforts, Venkat’s health deteriorated further as a kidney donor could not be found. Despite treatment, his condition did not improve and he died. Fish Venkat’s daughter told the media, “We did not give up hope until the end… but we lost him because a kidney donor was not found,” she said in tears. He is known as a memorable actor among fans.
