Telangana: NEET State Counseling in the first week of August

Telangana Health University has already announced the state ranks of 43,400 people.

Hyderabad: State NEET counselling in government and private medical colleges in the state is set to begin in the first week of August. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has already announced that the first phase of counselling for All India Quota, Deemed Universities and Central Universities will begin from the 21st of this month , and the state NEET counselling is likely to begin in the first week of August. However, the MCC has suggested that the state-specific counselling should be completed from the 30th of this month to August 6. In this context, it is learnt that Kaloji Narayana Rao Health University is likely to announce the counselling schedule for admissions in medical colleges in the state by the end of this month. It is known that the MCC has announced the NEET UG-2025 counselling schedule for admission to MBBS, BDS and BAC Nursing courses.

The first round of counselling schedule for admission to All India Quota, Deemed, Central Universities and State seats has been announced from 21st to 30th of this month. The NEET counselling process, which will be held in three rounds, will continue till September 10th. The MPC announced that the first round of NEET State counselling will be held from 30th of this month to August 6th. The MCP has released the schedule that the three rounds of NEET counselling will continue till September 18th. It has been revealed that the first year classes of MBBS will start from September 1st . It is known that Kaloji Narayana Rao Health University had already announced on the 10th of this month that 70,258 students from Telangana state appeared for the NEET UG-2025 exam and 43,400 of them qualified. There are a total of 64 medical colleges in the state, including government and private medical colleges, deemed universities and central government institutions.

In the Deemed University category

Out of these, 34 are state government colleges, 28 are private colleges, 2 are Mallareddy Deemed University colleges, ESI and Bibinagar AIIMS are affiliated to the central government. A total of 9,065 MBBS seats are available in all these colleges. Out of 4,080 seats in 34 government medical colleges, 15 percent are National Pool Quota, i.e. 613 seats will be filled as All India Quota seats. The remaining 3,477 seats will be reserved entirely for Telangana students. There are 4,850 seats in 26 private colleges. Two medical colleges of Mallareddy University (Medical College) Of these, one is a women’s college and two are also in the deemed university category. There are 400 seats in these two colleges together, and counseling will be held in the deemed university category. Out of the 4,850 seats in private medical colleges, 50 percent of the convener quota will be reserved for Telangana students. Out of the other 50 percent seats, 35 percent will be in category B seats, while another 15 percent will be filled in category C under the NRA quota .
